Practice Description

Mr. Jackson's practice is primarily in the area of securities law, advising public corporations and investment dealers on public and private financings, take-over bids and issuer bids, and other merger and acquisition transactions. He has acted as counsel to the Toronto Stock Exchange in the development and implementation of its market in financial futures contracts. Mr. Jackson also was one of three practitioners who reviewed the take-over bid provisions of the Ontario Securities Act and provided recommendations to the Ontario Securities Commission leading to the current uniform take-over bid code.
