Practice Description

Mr. Sorell has had responsibility for projects in all aspects of securities law ranging from public and private securities offerings, to contested and uncontested take-over bids, public company reorganization and the adoption of shareholder rights plans. He has frequently acted as counsel to investment dealers delivering financial advisory opinions as well as to special committees of public company boards of directors. He has presented cases frequently before the Ontario Securities Commission on matters involving both securities and commodity futures legislation.
