Practice Description

Mr. Kirby's practice consists of environmental law and litigation, including civil litigation, charges under environmental statutes, environmental advice with respect to commercial transactions, environmental inspections, investigation, audits, contamination, clean-up, remediation, decommissioning and environmental compliance, applications for and hearings regarding environmental approvals, and emergency response assistance. His practice also includes some commercial litigation. He has appeared before the provincial and federal courts, the Environmental Assessment Board, the Environmental Appeal Board and the Joint Board, as well as the Human Rights Commission and Royal Commissions of Inquiry. He has acted for both private business and government.
