Practice Description

Mr. Lowenstein's areas of specialization are in general civil litigation emphasizing corporate governance, the law of fiduciaries, contested mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, class actions, franchising disputes, professional liability, environmental liability and employment matters. Mr. Lowenstein has acted as counsel in a wide range of disputes in the Ontario Superior Court and has represented clients before the Ontario Securities Commission. He has been involved in leading cases, such as Grau v. International Comfort Products; 909787 Ontario Limited v. Bulk Barn Foods Limited; Mangan v. Inco Limited; Naneff v. Con-Crete Holdings Limited; PMSM Investments Ltd. v. Bureau et al.; Gosbee et al. v. Royal Trust et al. (Re MD Realty Fund); Xerox Canada Inc. v.
