Practice Description
Mr. McLeod interprets environmental statutes, regulations and guidelines and assists clients in dealing with appropriate government representatives and identifying existing or potential impediments to meeting their objectives. He represents clients at all levels of regulatory authority to attempt to ensure obligations are reasonable and that compliance can be achieved economically. Mr. McLeod also defends private and public sector individuals, corporations and organizations in environmental and other regulatory prosecutions. His practice also includes matters of directors' and officers' liability/due diligence, avoiding and defending prosecutions, commercial fraud litigation; monitoring and assessing legislative, regulatory and other public policy developments, and providing timely advice on their impact; advising governments on public policy initiatives; and helping clients pursue outsourcing, privatization and public/private partnerships. |
